Mecal TT Press:
The TT Crimping Machine is available either in semi-automatic (for bench-top use) configuration or in full automatic (integrated into a cut and strip machine) configuration. Very compact and light, its spheroidal cast iron, one-piece structure offers the highest rigidity for a very stable crimping height values. The standard stroke is 40mm, but other different strokes are available upon request.
The 135.8mm ± 0.02mm crimping height (measured from the applicator base plate tot the press T-coupling when at Bottom Dead Center) allows the TT to accept all the mini-style applicators fitted with the standard T-coupling. Upon request, a crimping height continuous regulating system (“TAC TAC”) can be supplied.
A proprietary safety cover (standard issue on the semi-automatic configuration) grants the operator a perfect view of the crimping zone while enjoying complete protection from any hazard. Mecal’s own CFA crimp force analyser can be fitted as an option. The semi-automatic configuration (for bench top use) always includes safety cover, reel arm, foot switch according to the international safety standard and CE regulation. Produced under a quality Management System certified to ISO 9001 (TÜV).
Mecal Applicators:
Evolution : a brand new mini applicator line offering the same quality level and reliability over the time of all Mecal’s products. The Evolution has been competitively priced, thanks to the specific production technologies adopted that have reduced the production time and made this tool the undisputed reference for the world wide market, both for quality and price. Mini applicator for linked terminals, with thickness < 0.6mm, terminal pitch < 27mm, wire section between 0 and 6mm². Mechanical « side-feed » feeding system (no pneumatic version available) for linked terminals on a reel to be unrolled left to right. Can be supplied either with a continuous or a fourpad regulating head. It is supplied with a non-resettable 7-digit cycle counter, and with both cams either for terminal feeding on upstroke or downstroke.
Can be fitted to any crimping press having a crimping height (measured from the miniapplicator mounting plate to the press « T » coupling when at Bottom Dead Center) of 135.8mm ± 0.02, and can be used in both manual (for bench-top press) and automatic (for cut and strip machine) configuration. It is supplied with a complete technical documentation containing all the information needed to safely use and correctly maintain the equipment. Upon request, a capability study (including a picture of a sectioned crimped terminal) can be performed.
Compared to the previous models, the Evolution family offers the following features : - the anvil can be replaced without removing the applicator from the press ; - as the anvil is made in two parts – wire and insulation – it is possible to replace only the worn-out one ; - the mini applicator base-plate is thicker, hence more rigid ; - the mini applicator body allows the replacement of the crimpers without removing the ram from the applicator or the applicator from the press ; - the pitch adjusting system as well as the centering of the terminal over the anvil are even more user friendly and clearly illustrated in the detailed technical documentation.
Mecal SC19 Stripping Unit:
The SC19 is a stripper unit in line with the crimping axis (without transfer by wire) driven by an electro-pneumatic system. It can also be used with front-side feed mini applicators (for concatenated terminals wrapped on a reel) and side feed mini applicators (for terminals bundled by a band, wound on the reel with left to right winding).
The SC19 is able to strip wires up to 2.5mm² of section and the machine is driven automatically, by a sensor mounted on board, or with the pedal. The necessary adjustments are simple and easy to access. The SC19 stripper unit cod. 790000030 can work exclusively in tandem with the pre-equipped Mecal press (SEE VERSIONS to have the code complete with adaptation kit). * In the use of multipolar wires, the minimum length of stripping is 20mm. This length depends on how the terminal used is tied and the dimensions of the personalisation of the cutting blades of the mini applicator used.
